My current research interests are in Tolkien studies and medievalism. I am currently the Principal Investigator in a funded project on Tolkien and Alliterative Verse. My research assistants and I have prepared an online research resource which includes a descriptive bibliography of Tolkien's alliterative verses, online guides to alliterative metre, Tolkien's comments on alliterative poetry, and a list of secondary sources. The website launched at http://tolkienalliterative.ca, and some of the pages are still in progress. In May 2023, I received the university's Research Excellence Award and was granted the status of Professor Emerita. Please note that my ORCID records do not include talks given in my university, my peer reviewing in various journals, or internal service.
