About
Anne Marie graduated with BSc (Honours) Nursing from University of Abertay (Formerly Dundee Institute of Technology) in 1992 and registered with the nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Pre- and post- registration nursing education and involvement in interprofessional learning is Anne Marie's area of expertise. With a particular interest in learning, teaching and assessment, Anne Marie has a keen focus on supporting students with disabilities in academic and practice settings, an interest which stemmed from involvement in Academic Disability Coordinator roles since 2010. Anne Marie completed her Doctoral studies in 2018 with a thesis entitled 'An exploration of the concept of reasonable adjustments in pre-registration nursing in Scotland'. It is Anne Marie's intention to publish from her thesis and to undertake further research in the area of learning, teaching and assessment including supporting students with disabilities. Currently Anne Marie is Head of Division (Adult Nursing and Healthcare). Anne Marie has experience as a Year Lead and Programme Lead and is involved in a range of learning and teaching activities for pre-registration students as well as supervision of Honours, Masters and Doctoral students.
