I am currently serving as a Lecturer in the Software Engineering and Data Technology Unit, within the Department of Computing and Information Sciences at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Shinas branch, Sultanate of Oman. Earlier, I worked at Mekelle University in Ethiopia, Kings College of Engineering in India, and Sami Arul College in India. I have 22 years of experience, including 17 years overseas and 9 years after completing my PhD. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University awarded me a Ph.D. in information technology and computer science. Allahabad-Agricultural Deemed University awarded me an M.Tech. (information technology). Bharathidasan University awarded me an M.S. (information technology) and a B.Sc. (computer science). My teaching and research interests include Java/Jakarta Faces, Python/Streamlit, data science, machine learning, cloud computing, web technologies, and cryptography. I have published over 60 technical research articles, including Scopus, WoS-indexed journals, and IEEE conferences, and I have 14 patents. I am the author of the 4 different textbooks, An Introduction to Parallel and Distributed Computing through Java, Foundations of Data Science, Cloud Computing Techniques, and Cryptography and Cyber Security, and submitted 4 research grants so far. My expertise research work related to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are: One document each has been published for Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 15 (Life on Land), and Goal 17 (Partnership for the Goals). Two documents each have been published for Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). Notably, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) has the highest number of documents published, with a total of five, indicating a significant emphasis on sustainable industrialization and innovation. I am involved in extensive and diverse research collaborations with 136 authors across 100 institutions in 11 countries. There are contributors from countries including Algeria, Brunei, India, Iraq, KSA, Malaysia, Turkey, UAE, United Kingdom, USA, and Vietnam to this wide-ranging collaboration. A variety of academic and scientific institutions are involved, including universities, colleges, and research institutes. The importance of international cooperation in advancing research and knowledge across different fields is highlighted by this collaborative effort. I have volunteered to be a professional member of distinct institutions, an editorial review member of diverse Scopus, WOS-indexed journals, and a conference program technical committee member. I have reviewed more than fifty research papers. I have supervised more than thirty-five student course projects and twenty-five student research projects. I have completed twenty-five free courses on various online learning platforms, attended twenty workshops and a faculty development program, and attended more than eighty trainings, seminars, and webinars. I have served as chairperson, coordinator, and member of various committees, including institutional internal evaluation, IT department QA member, OJT assessor, student mentor, unit human resource support services, staff professional development, course projects panel lead and member, curriculum design and review, interview panels, research and community services, PhD thesis evaluator, placement cell, exam moderators, external practical examiner, and examination invigilator. It has been my pleasure to provide trainings, workshops, and tech talks to working professionals and students. I am ready to provide assistance to students, staff, the community, and institutions with QS rankings.
