Bin Hu

About

Bin Hu is an Associate Professor at Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development at Tsinghua University, where he specializes in climate policy and governance, climate adaptation and risk, environmental economics. He has published widely on the economics of environment, climate change and public policy, and his articles and commentaries also appeared in many newspapers and medias. His article was awarded the second-best paper by the Journal of Insurance Issues and the School of Insurance, Actuarial Science, and Risk Management at St. John's University, and included by the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) as one of the guiding studies. He was also served as the executive deputy editor of the book Introduction to Global Climate Governance, a series of books on carbon peak and carbon neutrality published by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, with China Climate Special Envoy Zhenhua Xie serving as the editor-in-chief. Bin Hu has been invited to participate in second-track climate dialogues bilaterally and multilaterally, and made invited presentations around the world.
