About

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Data Science at Meharry Medical College within the School of Applied Computational Sciences(SACS). Before that, I was a PhD researcher at INRIA Grand-Est Center in Nancy, France. I was supervised by Dr. Marie-Dominique Devignes and Dr. Sabeur Aridhi from CAPSID team. I received my PhD in Computer Science from University of Lorraine, France in April 2021, MS in Computer Science from Unversity of Paris 6 (Now Sorbonne University-Campus UPMC) working at Laboratory of Quantitative and Computational Biology (LCQB) in August, 2016, and my BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering Technology(KUET) in May 2011. I was a visiting researcher at University of Montreal and Mila and worked with Dr. Guy Wolf. My research expertise lies in the intersection of computer science and biology, particularly, in applying artificial intelligence to answer biological questions. I am interested in developing graph based machine learning tools for biomedical knowledge discovery such as Prot-A-GAN: GAN-based link prediction from biomedical knowledge graph , GrAPFI-understanding protein's function from protein network, and Using Language Model for Protein Function Annotation. I enjoy travelling new countries, new cities and new geographies.
