Summary
As a Software Engineer on the Uber Eats Groceries & Retail team, I engineered and scaled core payment systems for delivery partners, processing over 2 million payments daily. I led the development of critical features for payment processing, courier experience, and fraud avoidance, directly contributing to preventing millions of dollars in losses worldwide.
Highlights
Designed and led multiple solutions to improve the accuracy and consistency of courier payment. Among them, I revamped our core estimation flow, achieving a 50% improvement in checkout total accuracy, resulting in an annual reduction of over 10 million dollars in the fraud window.
Achieved a significant increase in active supply through tactical and long-term wins in supply recuperation and onboarding. Designed and built a revamped onboarding flow that modernised the ageing experience and brought it in line with the company's objectives. As part of my efforts, an estimated extra 100.000 new couriers become active on the platform each month.
Led the team's flagship reliability improvement project, which successfully reduced the occurrence of catastrophic incidents from 15 per year down to 1.
Performed technical and behavioural interviews for prospective candidates for technical roles, onboarded team members and served as a mentor for both internal engineers and external developers as part of our outreach program.

Summary
During my tenure at this software factory, I built solutions for multiple commercial and in-house projects. Independence and problem-solving were highly valued, as we worked in small self-sufficient task forces. This required me to get hands-on with all parts of development, from requirements to infrastructure.
Highlights
Developed custom software for a private cloud provider, managing instance creation and control through a custom Kubernetes control plane with hooks for intelligent resource allocation.
Created a solution for payment records and an inventory management system used by a local food chain. This software required complete vertical integration with other existing platforms to manage catalogues and incoming payments.
