Cesar Fortes-Lima is a full-time Instructor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research focuses on the scope of human evolution, population genomics, and biological anthropology. So far, his research has contributed to 32 peer-reviewed publications, 6 book chapters, and 2 books, including first-author publications in Nature, MBE, AJHG, and Trends in Genetics, among other leading journals. He has also secured external competitive funding from 20 annual research grants, and he has developed effective population genetic methods to infer the demographic history of populations impacted by large migrations and admixture.
