About
Español David J. Santos (DJS) es Ingeniero de Telecomunicación por la Universidad de Vigo (1991) y Doctor Ingeniero de Telecomunicación por esa misma Universidad (1995). Actualmente es Catedrático en la Universidad San Pablo-CEU de Madrid (España). Ha desarrollado su actividad profesional como académico en las dos universidades mencionadas anteriormente y en las Universidades de Essex (Reino Unido) y Rochester (USA). Desde un punto de vista investigador DJS está especialmente interesado en la aplicación de la Fotónica y la Óptica Cuántica a los sistemas de comunicaciones, y en el procesado cuántico de información. De forma paralela, DJS pertenece al Instituto de Humanidades Ángel Ayala-CEU, en el que desarrolla actividad investigadora en el ámbito de la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia, especialmente en los aspectos relacionados con su docencia en contextos universitarios de Grado y Posgrado. English David J. Santos (DJS) obtained his MSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Vigo (1991) and his PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the same University (1995). He is currently a Professor at the Universidad San Pablo-CEU in Madrid (Spain). He has developed his professional activity as an academic at the two universities mentioned above and at the Universities of Essex (United Kingdom) and Rochester (USA). From a research point of view, DJS is especially interested in the application of Photonics and Quantum Optics to Communication Systems, and in Quantum Information Processing. In parallel, DJS belongs to the Instituto de Humanidades Ángel Ayala-CEU, in which he is a researcher in the field of the Social Doctrine of the Church, especially in those aspects related to its teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate university contexts.
