Hi! I am a second-year graduate student at PURDUE interested in research at the intersection of chemistry and medicine. Organic synthesis, catalysis. During my undergraduate studies, I obtained some research experience, which allowed me to explore numerous topics and narrow down my interests in preparation for my graduate studies. In the days ahead, I am looking forward to exciting opportunities to learn and grow as a researcher and comprehensively contribute to potential research in this sector. Aside from that, I am a group leader and a culture buff. Interacting with others, listening to their tales, and gaining inspiration for my journeys are some of my favorite things to do! • Expertise in total synthesis/multistep synthesis of biologically active natural products. • Experienced handling highly moisture- and air-sensitive organometallic reagents with all safety precautions. • Excellent skills in the design of synthetic routes for complex target molecules and small molecules, purification techniques, and correct data interpretation using NMR, LCMS, IR, Mass, and HPLC. • Sound knowledge of synthetic chemistry and demonstrated ability to produce structurally diverse compounds, including heterocycles and macrolides, on a milligram scale. • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Quick learning ability and adaptability. Experience in carrying out multi-step synthesis of organic molecules from milligram to gram scales. • Characterizing organic molecules using NMR, MASS, HPLC, IR, and GC data. • Literature search from chemical abstracts, journals, and patents. • Profound efficiency in the handling of hygroscopic, air-sensitive reagents and reactions. • Acquainted with synthetic laboratory set-ups and instrumentation like microwaves and combi flash companions. • Well acquainted with ChemDraw, making project reports and literature searches using Sci-Finder. Skilled in Microsoft Word, Communication, Great Personality, Public Speaking, and Teamwork. Strong professional with a Master of Science - MS in chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
