Oversaw the production and quality of an award winning high school journalism publication.

Highlights

Arranged and mobilized an entire repair and redesign of our publication's website and completely digitized physical publications of our magazine (predating 2018) to our website.

Managed a staff of 35 students to write and publish daily news articles to our online publication (the M-A Chronicle) and print magazine (the Mark).

Acted as single communication link between the publication and the administrations of local community and school.

Led training on journalism ethics and law, edited copy, and mentored staff writers and designers.

Highlights

Served as lead copy and design editor of the print magazine, the Mark, while writing and designing my own articles.

Spearheaded magazine publication's transition from a primarily literary publication to long-form investigative journalism.

Dedicated hours each week to compile the master copy of the magazine using Adobe InDesign.

During my tenure, the magazine more than doubled its length from a 32- page literary-focused format to 80-page investigative journalism forum and doubled its staff from 15 journalists to 35.
