Emidio Gressler Teixeira

About

Emidio is researcher at the Unisinos Market Research Institute. He holds a dual doctoral degree: Ph.D. in Business Administration from Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos) and Ph.D. in Management Sciences from Université de Rennes/France (2023). He is a researcher in the field of management and business, with a special emphasis on the following topics: (a) entrepreneurship and innovation; (b) development of sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems; (c) capabilities and competencies in high-performance businesses; (d) statistics and quantitative methods applied to business management. He has over 15 years of experience in strategic management and business development. He served as Deputy Administrative Director at the Rio Grande do Sul Department of Education. He was the leader of the Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) theme in the Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship division of ANPAD (ITE/ANPAD). He was a professor in the Department of Administrative Sciences at the Federal University of Santa Maria. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration (PPGA/UFSM-2018) and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (UFSM-2015). He has collaborated with innovation funding agencies for the development of startup ecosystems. He has also participated in various teaching, research, and extension projects impacting over 55,000 micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in Rio Grande do Sul. He has received honorable mentions from ANPAD, both as a reviewer of scientific papers and for presenting the best paper in his division.
