About

As an independent researcher at Ghent University I started the research project 'Voor herhaling vatbaar' (working title; 2021) on contemporary Dutch, including Belgium and The Netherlands, experimental prose (2001-now) using the historical and the neo-avant-gardes as a historically reproductive lense. In my dissertation I seek to explore how avant-gardes are textually revitalised in contemporary experimental prose and how this revitalisation can be used to read 21st-century experimental works. I extend this work by writing on literature as a literary critic for the online magazine 'Mappa Libri', but also as an editor for the Belgian literary magazine Deus ex Machina. When I am not working in literature, I am working with literature as a teacher in Evergem, a city close to Ghent.
