Jehan-Francois Paris

Jehan-François Pâris is Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at the University of Houston. He was formerly faculty at Purdue University and the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Pâris received his Ingénieur Civil degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, his Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies from the Université de Paris VI, France, his Licence et Maîtrise en Informatique from the Université de Namur, Belgium and his Ph. D. in EECS from the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include distributed consensus algorithms, storage system reliability, scalable reliable multicast protocols and distribution protocols for video-on-demand. He is a member of the ACM and a senior member of the IEEE.
