About
My research interests lie in the field of Public Service Interpreting, focusing more specifically on the use of technologies and the impact it has on human-human and human-technology interactions. I have published several papers on interpreters and technologies, covering various themes such as the interpreter's role(s), ethics, and online training. I have also presented my research at international research conferences and invited guest seminars. I actively take part in translators and interpreters' training and Continuous Professional Development by delivering talks and workshops to professional Translating and Interpreting bodies. I am currently working on the following two research projects: -Interpreting during Migration Crises: Interpreting provisions for Syrian Refugees in Turkey -Neuro-Machine Translation and Interpreting: The Perspective of European Translators and Interpreters I sit on the Executive Committee of the Association of Programmes in Translation and Interpreting Studies (APTIS), and I am a member of the International Association of Translation and Intercultural Studies (IATIS). I have worked as a peer reviewer for several world-renowned journals and publishers in Translation and Interpreting Studies.
