Python & Excel Automation Engineer for Financial Reporting Systems

We are developing and operating a Windows-based automation platform that uses Python and Excel to generate recurring financial and revenue reports for private-equity and FP&A teams. The system supports workflows such as ARR movement analysis, customer-level revenue modeling, and the production of standardized Excel workbooks for ongoing reporting. The current solution combines: Python (pandas and structured data processing) Excel automation using win32com and VBA Windows packaging and desktop distribution We’re seeking a part-time engineer to work alongside us to clean up and modernize the existing codebase, add new features, and improve overall stability and maintainability. This role will involve understanding how financial data flows through the system and helping evolve it into a more robust, scalable tool. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on improving a real production system used for financial operations. We currently have an existing codebase and similar projects already built, which can be used as a reference.
