You will own key front end systems and influence architecture, standards, and the roadmap.You will have hands-on responsibilities for a profitable platform trusted and used by physicians everywhere: shipping new features, modernizing legacy services, and evolving our engineering culture.The team is responsible for the development, monitoring, maintenance, and evolution of CareerMD’s media software platform for physicians and healthcare organizations.As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will be responsible for defining problems, shaping solutions, and delivering design docs, high-quality code, and impactful outcomes.This role will report to CareerMD's Lead Engineer.Responsibilities:Collaborate with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to solve problems and deliver software for the CareerMD platformDevelop new products from scratch and revamp/redesign/improve existing productsProactively suggest improvements to the user experience (UI/UX) as well as improvements to code structure, architecture, development practices, and product featuresPlan, build, and execute tests for all systems to deliver high quality softwareWrite and maintain technical documentationParticipate in code reviews and mentor more junior developersQualifications:Proficient with React, Next.js, Typescript, component architecture, and state managementOpinionated with product design and from-scratch responsive UI buildsExperienced with modern development workflows including Git, GitHub, pull requests, branching strategies, and collaborative code reviews.Able to continuously raise the team’s bar for qualityWorks well in an agile development environmentProven ability to utilize research and analytics to drive UX improvementDriven continuous learnerEducation & Years of Experience:5+ years of professional web development experience3+ years React experienceBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experiencePreferred Skills:Physician recruitment or healthcare industry experienceDocker (we use Dokku), Kubernetes, or other containerization(s)Full-stack experience with API (e.g. .NET) and database developmentModern collab tools, such as Figma and MiroHeadless CMS (we use Contentful)We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $130,500 -- $252,300 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location. CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses.
