This engineer will be proficient in back end application programming and testing. This person will be a part of an engaged distributed team and participate in the requirements building process. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:Build custom plug-ins or extensions for CAD platforms to enhance functionality and improve user productivity using C# and .NET technologies.Develop APIs for industry-standard CAD tools such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to enable seamless data exchange and automation within application workflows.Interpret business and technical requirements accurately and translate them into functional software components.Create intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces that enhance user experience.Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, including automated and manual testing, to ensure software reliability and performance. Collaborate with QA teams as appropriate.Maintain high coding standards through peer reviews, alignment with secure coding guidelines, and continuous improvement.Work closely with multi-functional teams (Product Managers, QA, UX designers) in Agile environments to deliver features on time.Identify, document, and resolve software defects efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to end users.Stay ahead of with emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to .NET and web development.Familiarity with 3D modeling and computer-aided design software such as REVIT & AutoCAD is a plus.Industry experience with electrical systems is a plus.YOU HAVE:Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or software engineering.3+ year’s experience developing application software for critical systems serving industrial customers.Proficiency with JSON, C#, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, and other backend technologies.Good analytical, problem solving skills and familiarity with coding standards.Strong technical capability, analytical skills, and problem solving skillsStrong attention to detailWE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every daynVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
