With proven solutions, award-winning technologies, and a team of expert problem solvers, Navitas has consistently empowered customers to use technology as a competitive advantage and deliver cutting-edge transformative solutions.What You’ll Do:We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join us early, own critical systems, and help shape both the product and the engineering culture from day one.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Our stack is Go on AWS with Postgres at the core, and we’re integrating AI (Gemini today, expanding further) to automate and optimize complex financial workflows.Own core backend systems end-to-end, including APIs, data models, and services powering FX, payments, and financial workflowsDesign and build scalable services in Go, with a strong focus on correctness, performance, and reliabilityWork deeply with AWS infrastructure, including deployment, observability, security, and cost optimizationDesign and operate Postgres schemas for financial-grade systems (idempotency, consistency, auditability)Build and integrate AI-powered features using Gemini (and future LLMs) to automate workflows like reconciliation, invoice processing, and decision supportCollaborate directly with founders on product decisions, system architecture, and technical tradeoffsSet engineering foundations: coding standards, system design patterns, CI/CD, and best practicesMove fast while maintaining quality, balancing startup speed with long-term maintainabilityWhat You’ll Need:Strong experience with Go in production systemsSolid backend fundamentals: APIs, distributed systems, concurrency, and data modelingHands-on experience with AWS, including deploying and operating production servicesDeep familiarity with Postgres, including schema design, indexing, and performance considerationsComfort working in early-stage environments with ambiguity, ownership, and rapid iterationProduct mindset — you care about why you’re building something, not just howStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make pragmatic tradeoffsSet Yourself Apart With:Experience building fintech, payments, or financial systemsExposure to LLMs / AI systems (Gemini, OpenAI, etc.) in real productsExperience with compliance-heavy systems (audit logs, permissions, approvals)Previous startup or early-team experience Equal Employer/Veterans/Disabled Navitas Business Consulting is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
