You’ll work on scalable platforms and deliver core banking functionalities used across multiple customer propositions. Your work will ensure high standards of performance, security, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle.What You’ll DoDevelop backend applications following ING standardsWrite clean, tested code and perform unit testingCollaborate with DevOps engineers to manage the full software lifecycleEmbed security best practices into every stage of developmentSupport bug fixing during SIT and UAT phasesTroubleshoot and resolve production issuesAnalyse defects to validate solution design qualityReview technical and functional specifications and perform code reviewsCommunicate and escalate issues when necessaryWhat We’re Looking ForDegree in Computer Science or equivalent5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a 24/7 banking environmentStrong knowledge of Agile methodologiesExpertise in Java development (J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot)Advanced skills in REST & SOAP servicesExperience with microservices architecture and API managementFamiliarity with event-driven systems (MQ, Kafka)Solid understanding of distributed systems and containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker)Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelinesProficiency in JUnit, TDD, and Spring Integration testingNice to have: experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)Good knowledge of Azure DevOps, DBMS and SQL (Oracle, PL/SQL)Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)Additional Preferred ExperienceBackground in assisting channels such as call center, back-office operations, and chat/chatbot solutionsNice to Have:Experience building AI chatbotsFamiliarity with Virtual Assistant platformsKnowledge of Google DialogFlow CXSoft SkillsPassion for technology and innovationStrong execution and results-driven mindsetTeam-oriented with excellent communication skillsProblem-solving ability and resilience under pressureWillingness to provide on-call support when requiredWorking conditions: Full TimeDuration: PermanentLocation: Milan (hybrid) About INGING offers many opportunities to build a diverse and rewarding career.
