DescriptionJob Title: Regional Account Manager – Business DevelopmentDepartment: SalesLocation: Remote/Field-Based (Defined Region)Employment Type: Full-TimeReporting to the Director of Business Development, the Regional Account Manager – Business Development is responsible for establishing and growing Storage Solutions’ presence within a defined geographic region. This role is a true market builder, focused on creating awareness, generating net new opportunities, and closing profitable revenue in regions where Storage Solutions does not yet have boots on the ground. This is an opportunity to build a territory, not inherit one.The Regional Account Manager will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and first appointments through solution development and close —while collaborating closely with the Director of Business Development, internal SDRs, engineering, project management, and marketing.OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Development & Market EntryEstablish Storage Solutions’ brand presence and reputation within an assigned regionIdentify and pursue net-new business opportunities in manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics environmentsDevelop and execute a regional market strategy focused on greenfield account acquisitionGenerate first appointment ever(s) through proactive prospecting, networking, and outbound activityBuild a territory from the ground up by identifying target accounts, verticals, and key decision-makersSales Execution & Revenue OwnershipSell complex, high-value warehouse and automation solutionsOwn the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through proposal, negotiation, and closeDevelop solution-based proposals in collaboration with engineering and project teamsClose profitable revenue and maintain accountability to end-of-year Gross Profit (GP)Maintain an active, healthy sales pipeline aligned with regional GP targetsAccurately forecast revenue and update CRM with opportunity status and activityAccount DevelopmentGrow wallet share within newly acquired and developing accountsDevelop long-term, consultative relationships with customers and strategic partnersMaintain consistent communication and follow-up throughout the sales and project lifecycleSupport account transitions into expansion and repeat business opportunitiesCollaboration & Coaching AlignmentWork closely with the Director of Business Development on territory strategy and individual growth plansPartner with internal SDRs to align outbound efforts, messaging, and target account focusCoordinate with Marketing to support regional awareness-building initiativesCollaborate with Project Management and Engineering to ensure strong handoff and exceptional customer experienceParticipate in trade shows, regional events, and industry functions as neededKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTSIndustry Experience - Proven sales experience within the material handling, intralogistics, automation or related industriesHunter Mentality – Demonstrated success building a territory and book of business from the ground upSales Execution – Ability to manage and close complex solution-based salesBusiness Development Expertise – Skilled in prospecting, discovery, and early-stage opportunity qualificationCommunication Skills – Clear, confident, and persuasive communicator across all levels of an organizationStrategic Thinking – Ability to identify market opportunities and design regional growth plansSelf-Direction – Thrives in a remote, autonomous environment with minimal day-to-day oversightCRM Proficiency – Comfortable managing pipeline, forecasting, and activity trackingBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferredPROFESSIONAL QUALITIESEntrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindsetHighly accountable with strong ownership of outcomesPersistent, resilient, and comfortable with ambiguityOrganized and disciplined in managing pipeline and territoryCollaborative team player who values cross-functional partnershipsCurious, consultative problem-solver focused on customer valueWORK CONDITIONSRemote and field-based role within an assigned regionFrequent local travel; occasional overnight travel as neededEvening or weekend work may be required based on customer schedules and eventsCOMPENSATIONCompetitive base salary plus commission on revenueCommission structure aligned to profitable growth and closing performanceWhy work for Storage Solutions?At Storage Solutions, our greatest asset is our people.
