The Raymond Corporation Job Location: 22 South Canal Street, Greene, NY 13778 Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager Job Duties: The Raymond Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Greene, NY to support assembly manufacturing operations and process improvements. Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Process Manufacturing Engineers, driving excellence in assembly processes. Lead multiple projects involving interdepartmental teams. Participate as key member on completion and resolution of large and complex projects. Lead future state planning for responsible areas. Present project status to senior management and executive level staff. Recommend and drive changes in project direction in response to business requirements. Perform engineering work in designing, installing, operating, and maintaining measuring apparatus necessary to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water. Serve as liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies concerned with environmental control. Perform tests or experiments requiring the use of instrumentation. Conduct capacity analysis for throughput improvement for all assembly processes in Greene. Maintain MPL (Manufacturing Problem Log) and use industrial engineering tools. Process Kaizen requests for continuous improvement. Support Asaichi Process and defect reduction activity by carrying out 5Why analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and prevention of the future defects. Support Machine Downtime resolution and Root Cause Analysis. Run new tool/equipment procurement projects. Support New Product Implementation. Create strategies and SOPs for operations. Implement processes, analyze production data, and search for methods to reduce costs and improve quality and reliability. Design line flow, machine, and equipment layout for effective workflow and facility usage. Reduce labor costs, cycle times, inventory, and manufacturing operations expenses by implementing JIT, Continuous Flow, Kanban, and production cells manufacturing techniques and processes. Local telecommuting available up to 2 days a week. Annual salary: $129,709 to $130,350. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field plus 2 years (or Bachelor’s plus 5 progressive years) of manufacturing engineering experience in: (1) Vehicle manufacturing assembly processes, (2) Identifying inefficiencies, driving Kaizen initiatives, and implementing process improvements to enhance quality, cost, and cycle time, (3) Analyzing production capacity and optimizing throughput for all vehicle assembly operations, (4) Using 5Why Analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and problem-solving frameworks to address defects, downtime, and quality issues, (5) JIT, Kanban, Continuous Flow, production cells, and other Lean Manufacturing ideologies to drive efficiency and reduce operational costs, and (6) Procurement and implementation of new tools and equipment to enhance assembly operations. Experience may be gained before, during or after Master’s degree. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
