Research Interests: Developing diagnostic and antimicrobial stewardship strategies for the implementation of rapid molecular diagnostic technologies to improve the clinical care of hospitalized children with suspected infections. Improving diagnostic testing and treatments for central nervous system infections, including meningitis, encephalitis, and acute flaccid myelitis, with a focus on picornaviruses, including enterovirus D68, enterovirus A71, and parechoviruses. Designing studies for pandemic preparedness for emerging infectious diseases in children.
