About

I study plant-herbivore interaction with a focus on identifying plant defences against herbivores. My research involves plant response to the two-spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae, an agricultural pest known for its ability to develop resistance to pesticides. The main aspect of my research involves characterization of spider mite strains following adaptation to new hosts, including Arabidopsis thaliana, grape vine (Vitis vinifera), and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum). I also have an interest in the development and incorporation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies in different production systems.
