I am a Senior Researcher in Computer Science at the National Research Council of Italy, Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell’Informazione “A. Faedo” (ISTI-CNR). My research is centered on the design and development of systems and services that support research infrastructures for science. I focus particularly on virtual research environments, data infrastructures, collaborative working environments, reference models for complex systems, information retrieval, data analytics, data publishing, and innovative scholarly communication practices. My work bridges research and development, and I have contributed to numerous EU-funded projects dedicated to advancing digital libraries and data infrastructures. I currently serve as the Scientific Director of the D4Science.org infrastructure, a key platform supporting open science and collaborative research.
