Marcos Vinicius Lorevice

About

Dr. Marcos Lorevice is a Principal Investigator at the Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory (LNNano/CNPEM) in Campinas, Brazil, where he works on sustainable bio-based materials, particularly nanocellulose derived from agricultural byproducts. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, 2019), which included a research internship at Université Paris Diderot (2016). He also earned an M.Sc. from UFSCar (2015) and a B.Sc. from the University of São Paulo, Institute of Physics of São Carlos (USP/IFSC, 2012). He completed two postdoctoral fellowships: one at LNNano/CNPEM (2019–2021) and another at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2021–2022). His research interests lie in Materials Science, with emphasis on biopolymers, nanocellulose, biodegradable polymers, polysaccharides, biodegradable thermoplastics, and processing techniques such as solvent casting, extrusion, and 3D printing.
