Selective Spin Dewetting for Perovskite Solar Modules Fabricated on Engineered Au/ITO Substrates

I am Md Abdul Kuddus Sheikh, a dedicated materials scientist with over 12 years of research experience in hybrid perovskite materials, their synthesis, characterization, and application in advanced optoelectronic and energy devices. Currently, I serve as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), where my work focuses on materials science and semiconducting research by utilizing magnetron sputtering system. I earned my Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Kookmin University, South Korea, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. My academic and professional journey has equipped me with strong expertise in perovskite photovoltaics, including interface modification, flexible and colorful devices, tandem solar cells (Si/perovskite and multijunction), and transparent conductive electrodes. Previously, I worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT, Polish Center for Technology Development (2022–2025), where I led efforts in developing synthesis and fabrication methods for organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite (OIHP) single crystals, thin films, and scintillators. My research focused on investigating the optical and nonlinear properties of these materials for photonic device applications. I also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation (IACF), Kookmin University (2020–2022), advancing large-area perovskite solar modules and developing strategies to improve their real-world stability. During my Ph.D. and tenure as a Graduate Research Assistant (2013–2020), I contributed to the development of electron and hole transport layers, interface engineering, and thin-film deposition for organic and perovskite solar cells, along with hands-on lab safety management as a Laboratory Safety Inspector. Additionally, I supervised interns and co-authored peer-reviewed publications based on experimental training and collaborative research. My research interests encompass a wide spectrum of emerging materials and applications: perovskite photodiodes and LEDs, scintillators, 2D/3D perovskite materials, thin films, 2D materials such as MXenes and TMDs, energy storage and conversion systems, and wearable electronics. I am proficient in using advanced techniques including SEM, AFM, XRD, UV-Vis spectroscopy, PL, TR-PL, solar simulators, spin coating, CVD, ALD, and thermal/e-beam evaporation. Fluent in English with basic knowledge of Korean and Arabic, I am a motivated, deadline-driven researcher actively seeking full-time opportunities in academic or industry environments that promote innovation and sustainable technology development.
