Mohamed Tarhouni

Dr. Mohamed Tarhouni holds a DEA in General Ecology, a PhD in Biological Sciences and HDR in Rural Engineering, Water and Forest Sciences. He is currently a professor in Ecology at the Arid Regions Institute (IRA, Medenine, Tunisia) and Head of Rangeland Ecosystems, Spontaneous Plants and Associated Micro-organisms Laboratory. He works on arid rangeland managements under various uses and climatic conditions. The results of his research are applicable and valued in the framework of conventions between IRA and several national development organizations and in participation and coordination of several national and international projects. He realizes expertise studies with several national and international consulting firms. He publishes several scientific articles and is the member of the reading committees of many journals.
