About

My main research interest is in paediatric disability- development and rehabilitation. My short-term career goal is to have a large research grant that will accommodate PhD and MSc students, especially therapists who work in the field of paediatrics. The aim of the project is to conduct research in the field of paediatrics rehabilitation of children living with disability at all levels of healthcare, but with the intent of empowering children to take care of themselves. The COVID19 pandemic has highlighted the need to improve service delivery to children with disability. Rehabilitation needs of children living with disability (CLWD) are not adequately met due to the fact that efforts have been focused on medical needs and where possible individual therapy.
