Patricia Arriaga Ferreira

Patrícia Arriaga earned her Ph.D. in Social and Organizational Psychology from ISCTE in 2006, after completing her Master's in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology at ISPA in 2000, following her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the same institution in 1996. She achieved her Habilitation in Psychology in 2020. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon. Her research is typically focused on studying socio-affective and cognitive processes, which often include multi-method approaches to assess subjective, behavioral, and physiological human responses within a social context. Her interest is in promoting well-being and prosociality through the development and/or evaluation of digital tools, games, movies, media campaigns, and social robots. She also considers their implications for social, health, and educational areas. Many of the research projects involve a multidisciplinary team of researchers.
