Highlights

Architected and deployed a highly available, multi-tier web application infrastructure on AWS across multiple AZs, designing a custom VPC with 3 public and 2 private subnets, Internet Gateway, and NAT Gateway.

Configured Nginx EC2 instances as reverse proxies in public subnets, managing HTTPS/443 traffic with automated SSL termination using Let's Encrypt Certbot and implementing security headers (X-Frame-Options, X-XSS-Protection).

Deployed internal Application Load Balancers (ALB) with path-based routing for `/api` and `/auth` traffic, directing to separate auto-scaled EC2 groups, ensuring independent scaling and high availability with 30-second health checks.

Developed a comprehensive security architecture, including custom security groups (nginx-sg, alb-sg, app-sg) with least-privilege access controls and private subnet isolation, enhancing network security and compliance.

Automated EC2 deployment and configuration for API and authentication services using Launch Templates and user data scripts, achieving consistent infrastructure provisioning and implementing Auto Scaling Groups with a 60% CPU utilization threshold for cost efficiency.
