Rita Rua Ferreira

About

I am a biomedical scientist with 10+ years of research experience, with a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Strasbourg (France), which turned into Science Management and R&I funding. Worked as Research Manager in the Pre-Award Office at NOVA Medical School in Lisbon. My role was to help NMS researchers fundraise for their projects, by increasing their chances to get highly competitive R&I funding, either at the national or international level. Experienced in drafting proposals for Horizon Europe pillars 1 and 2; la Caixa Foundation; FCT; PRR (structural funds); FLAD and private funding schemes. Recently joined the Funding and Science Strategy Unit of NOVA University Lisbon. Experience in preparing funding thematic content to help researchers to better perform on their proposals. Actively involved in the Portuguese RMA community activities and a proud student of the postgraduate course on Science & Technological Management and Policies at NOVA-FCSH.
