Robert Gilmore Pontius Jr is Professor of Geography at Clark University, where he has been since 1998. He holds a Doctorate in Environmental Science and a Masters in Applied Statistics. His expertise includes Geographic Information Science, Land Change Science, Ecological Modeling, and Statistics. His team receives funding from MapBiomas, the United States National Science Foundation, and the National Aeronautical and Space Administration. His solo authored book is entitled Metrics That Make A Difference: How To Analyze Change and Error.
