About

Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University, specializing in the structural analysis of amyloid aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. My current research focuses on uncovering structural motifs that drive amyloid aggregation. Previously, I explored the structural evolution of early-stage amyloid protein aggregates using advanced techniques like Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and nanoscale vibrational spectroscopy (AFM-IR). This work provided insights into the morphology and secondary structure of individual amyloid fibrils. I also investigated how neuronal membranes influence amyloid protein aggregation, leveraging high-resolution time-lapse AFM imaging to capture the aggregation process in real time. Passionate about applying cutting-edge analytical methods to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases.
