Graduate in History from the USC, I was awarded the Extraordinary Degree Award, the X Ferro Couselo Research Award and the Collaboration predoctoral fellow of the MEC; the Predoctoral fellow of Xunta de Galicia and FPU fellow, with complementary scholarships for research stays in Barcelona, Paris and Rome, as well as with stays linked to research projects and international archaeological excavations in England; Portugal; Switzerland; Tunisia, France and Italy. High Graduate in Archaeology from the UB and PhD in History (archaeology/Ancient History) from the USC with Cum Laude and Extraordinary Doctorate Award (2006-2007), I was a Postdoctoral researcher MICINN ‘Juan de la Cierva’ at the UAB, connected to various R&D projects as a member of the International Group of Excellence (2009 SGR 1087). I was also a visiting scholar at the University of Oxford and an invited researcher at the IRAA-CNRS in Aix-en-Provence (AGAUR grant). In addition, I have enjoyed other postdoc international research stays, mainly in Rome (École Française de Rome and Escuela Española de Roma), in Paris (Ecole Normale Superieure) and Lisbon (UArq). During the last decade, I have collaborated on some international and national archaeological projects. I am currently a scientific adviser in the Bagnères-de-Bigorre project (OAPHB 65), as well as being an advisor to some Spanish projects in Zaragoza, Lugo or Ourense. Additionally, I was the co-director of the archaeological project and on-site exhibition of Currás, Tomiño (2013-2015) and I am the director of the international Balneo-SAOVICENTE archaeological project in Portugal (PIPA 2021-2023). Author and coordinator of 13 books and more than 70 articles and book chapters, some of them in highly valued publications and as the main author; I have collaborated in 14 R+D+i projects and in more than 70 national and international conferences and talks, in many cases as a guest; I have been a scientific advisor for projects, associations, exhibitions and meetings, also forming part of the organization of 5 international conferences, 2 of them as coordinator. In the field of teaching experience, I have taught extensively at the USC, UAB and UVIGO, and currently at the UAM (accredited by ANECA as “Profesor Titular de Universidad” since 2014). I have participated as an invited specialist in national summer courses, doctoral and master's courses and seminars. I co-direct two doctoral theses, and I have directed various TFG and TFMs. Furthermore, I have been a member of 6 Doctoral Thesis Tribunal. I also coordinate with A. Gutiérrez Garcia-M. a research project on the exploitation of Marmora in Roman Galicia (since 2012). In addition to the Tomás y Valiente project (2018-2023), I am the IP of the UAM in the European project rurALLURE H2020 (2021-2023), and I was also a member of the European and interdisciplinary CROSSCULT project of the H2020 call (2016-2019). Furthermore, I have led a research project on thermal heritage with a national Torres Quevedo MINECO contract, for applied research to the business sector (2015-2018); and I have participated as IP of the UAM in the project proposal presented by the EHTTA in the H2020 program, on thermal heritage within the EU. From 2018 to 2023 I has been a post-doctoral researcher ‘Tomás y Valiente’ at the UAM and MIAS (Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies, UAM /Casa de Velázquez), coordinator of an UAM Consolidated Research Team (01/06/2022) with a positive certification I3 (2020) and 2 Sexenios (ANECA). Since 2023, I am a permanent lecturer (profesora permanente Laboral-PPL) in the Departament of Prehistory and Archaeology at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and I lead a National Project I+D+i entitled Thermascape: El paisaje termal en Hispania. El papel de los recursos termales en la península Ibérica desde época romana” PID2022-138809NB-I00 (2023-2027).
