TZU-KENG SHEN

About

Tzu Keng Shen, from Taiwan, finished his bachelor degree in Biotechnology at National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan, in 2018. After that, he moved to Germany and studied molecular and cellular biology at Heidelberg University. For his thesis, he utilized HyPer7 to understand cellular H2O2-based signaling in Saccharomyces cerevisiae in Tobias Dick's lab and graduated in May 2021. In August 2021, he started his joint Ph.D. program between Joris Messens Lab at VUB/VIB and Esteban Gurzov Lab at ULB, studying the role of oxidative modifications of protein tyrosine phosphatases in metabolic diseases.
