Vahid Heydari Fami Tafreshi

An enthusiastic researcher and lecturer with Staffordshire University. A freelance consultant & technical trainer. Experience in Communication Networks & their Security with previous research collaborations, funded research projects and published conference/journal papers that reflect his findings and can be found in high-profile publications like IEEE & ZTE. His interests lie in the field of Internet Computing, Communication Protocols & Architectures, Information Centric Networks (ICN), Software-defined Networking (SDN), Cryptography, and Cyber/Network Security. Computer-Communication Networks & Security lecturer at Staffordshire University since September 2015. First joining as a member of Corporate Programme Unit to teach to Ministry of Defence (MoD) personnel in the field of Communication Networks & Security. Now in the School of Computing and Digital Technologies, teaching a variety of Networks & Security modules for Ministry of Defence (MoD) based awards, apprenticeship programmes and on-campus students with both face-to-face as well as distance learning delivery methods. In addition, he is supervising/examining undergraduate/ postgraduate projects & PhD thesis. Prior experience includes PhD studentship grant from (formerly) Centre for Communication Systems Research (CCSR), now Institute for Communication Systems (ICS) & home of 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC), University of Surrey, UK. In parallel to a PhD, he worked as a part-time Research Assistant in CCSR as one of the leading research institutes across the world and a Teaching Assistant in both: Surrey’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering & Computing Department. He also completed 2 years as a researcher on SASH-NET project with Airbus Group (Astrium Space Transportation & Satellite; European Aerospace and Defence group (EADS)).
