About
I am Abdulmalik Waheed Olamilekan, a final-year student of the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin.
Over the years, I have served in various leadership capacities across student bodies within the College of Health Sciences. During my first year (2022/2023 session), I served as a member of the Anatomical Students’ Society of Nigeria (ASSON) Independent Electoral Committee.
In my second year, I was elected as a Senator representing the Department of Anatomy in the Basic Medical Sciences Students’ Association (BAMSSA) Senate Council, where I contributed actively as a member of the Sports Committee, In-House Committee, and Academic Committee.
In my third year, I returned to the BAMSSA Senate Council and served as the Chief Whip of the House, Chairman of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, Chairman of the Welfare Committee, and Secretary of the Sports Committee.
Currently, as a final-year student, I am a Senator-elect, and I am privileged to be in line for the position of President of the Senate Council.
Beyond leadership, I have participated in several medical outreaches across Kwara and Lagos States, contributing to community health and public enlightenment.
I am presently conducting my undergraduate research project, which has deepened my passion for scientific inquiry. My goal is to continue in research and grow into one of the most outstanding researchers in Nigeria and beyond.
