About
I am an ecotoxicologist broadly interested in how anthropogenic and environmental stressors impact the functioning of aquatic ecosystems and the ecosystem services they provide. My current research investigates the decomposition of bioplastics in freshwater systems under climate change pressures—particularly rising temperatures and extreme hydrological events—using fluvial microbial communities (biofilms) as bioindicators. I explore these effects at molecular, functional, and structural levels through a combination of field and laboratory experiments.
