Carlos Angulo Barrios
About
Carlos Angulo Barrios received the MSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, in 1998 and the PhD degree in Semiconductor Materials from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, in 2002. He was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Nanophotonics Group at the School of ECE, Cornell University, from 2002 to 2004. From 2004 to 2006, he was a Ramon y Cajal Researcher at the Nanophotonics Technology Center (NTC), Technical University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. In 2006 Dr Barrios returned to UPM where he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Photonics and Bioengineering. Dr Barrios has been Principal Investigator for national and international projects, holds several awarded patents, has published in top science and engineering journals and is a reviewer for high impact publications in the fields of Photonics, Materials Science and Sensors.
