About
I am Taiwanese and grew up in a family of nine. I earned my PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan, in June 2012. My doctoral research, co-advised by Prof. Chi-Huey Wong and Dr. Che Ma at the Genomic Research Center, Academia Sinica, focused on the characterization and 3D structural determination of a bacterial transglycosylase protein. I have one year of experience in bacterial classification from Dr. Tsai-Ling Yang Lauderdale's lab at the National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan, and three years of experience in in meso in situ serial crystallography (IMISX) from Prof. Martin Caffrey's lab at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Currently, I am a scientist in Drs. May Sharpe and Meitian Wang’s group at the Swiss Light Source. My research interests center on the X-ray crystallography of membrane and soluble proteins, with recent work focusing on FFCS and temperature-resolved X-ray crystallography. I have collaborated with beamline scientists at various synchrotron facilities, including KEK, Spring-8, APS, DLS, ESRF, and SLS. Additionally, I have extensive experience in protein purification and functional assays of bacterial membrane proteins, both in vivo and in vitro. I am organized, hardworking, and quick to acquire new knowledge and skills.
