Daniela García-Caro Briceño is a PhD researcher for the Initiative on the Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity in the Department of Law and Markets, Erasmus University Rotterdam. Daniela Garcia-Caro’s academic background includes a MSc. in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University, and a Specialized Masters in Agroecology, Food Sovereignty, Urban Ecology and Rural Development Cooperation from the Universidad de La Laguna's. Her research interests focus on the sustainable transformations of food systems towards agroecological realities and bridging the gaps between food system research, practice, law and policy. The topic of her PhD is Law and Agroecological Transitions, which aims to explore the role of law in the agroecological transitions of food systems. Her project focuses on operationalizing agroecology within law and policy, the identification of legal and regulatory stumbling blocks to an agroecological Europe, and the future courses of action to enable transformative change.
