Fei-Fan Cai

About

Fei-Fan Cai graduated in 2015 from the National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan) and obtained his Master degree in 2020 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg(Germany). His Master’s thesis focused on developing hydrogel composite materials for 3D bioprinting, which included not only optimising the composition and preparation of the bioink but also exploring the printing performance, characterisation of material properties, and cell culture studies. Fei-Fan had an internship in Belgium at a drug development company, Ardena, where he worked on drug formulation development such as fluidized bed granulation, Wurster coating, and capsule manufacturing. Fei-Fan joined the BIOREMIA Network in July 2020 at the Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria). The goal of his PhD project is to develop the hybrid micro/nano-patterned bulk metal glass–polymer construct to enhance antibacterial properties for hard tissue implant applications.
