Hewin holds a Master’s in Multimedia Journalism from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and a Bachelor's in Journalism, Political Science, and English Literature from Kristu Jayanti University. This interdisciplinary academic background allows him to critically engage with both media practice and theory. He has qualified UGC NET exam in admission to PhD only category and is working towards a PhD in Media Studies focusing on Political Economy Of Media, with research interests spanning Political Journalism, Dalit studies, AI and Authorship, and Film Aesthetics.
