Jeremy Vuillermert
Front-end Engineer
Royan, FR.About
Product oriented front-end developer. I have experience in full stack development as I went from idea to working product on several occasions, whether my own ideas or early startup. I specialized in highly interactive user interfaces in the last 6 years and find it the most interesting part. This allows me to work closer to the users and have direct impact.
I'm looking to work in the conservation/ecology/scientific space so the domain is as interesting as the engineering work.

Summary
I joined a former colleague at earthtoolsmaker to build tools for wildlife and planet. I'm currently developing user interfaces (desktop app and web apps) to visualise computer vision model results and help animal conservation efforts.
Highlights
Biowatch: desktop app to classify, analyse and explore camera trap data. Computer vision model runs locally and we use the results to show maps, graphs and images in a simple way.
Seal monitoring: a plane fly above islands with seals, a model counts and classify seals, and I develop an interface to adjust those counts to avoid double counting and removing false positives

Freelance
Summary
I spent some time exploring and building new kind of browsers. I ended up doing some freelance work for Arc that shared some of those ideas. I also teamed-up with an entrepreneur in New York to build a working browser with novel interface but we didn't continue past the working prototype.
Highlights
Developed a fully working browser using Electron with a different interface based on small and composable widgets.
