About
I am an archaeologist with a strong interest in both the technological and organisational aspects of prehistoric craft activities, and of Bronze Age metalwork production in particular. Much of my research is concerned with the study of both prehistoric copper- base alloy and lithic metalworking implements, aiming to identify their exact position in the respective chaînes opératoires and to develop a better understanding of how Chalcolithic and Bronze Age metal workshops operated. Apart from the technological and organisational aspects of metalwork production, my research is also concerned with the ritual activities involved and with the symbolic roles of craftspeople in prehistoric societies.
