Lucie Cejkova

About

I am a junior researcher and PhD student at the Department of Media Studies and Journalism, Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, focusing on conspiracy thinking in news audiences, media literacy, and public resilience against misinformation. My research centers on understanding how news audiences perceive conspiracy theories, how adolescents engage with misinformation, and the relationship between news consumption patterns, conspiracy thinking, and trust and political attitudes. In Fall 2024, I had the opportunity to visit Penn State University as a Fulbright-Masaryk student, enriching my work through international collaboration. Beyond academia, I collaborate with NGOs and media organizations to promote news and media literacy. I also moderate public discussions on media topics with theaters like Husa na provázku and 3+kk.
