About

Enthusiast of science and nature with a BSc in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Havana. His research has primarily focused on the identification, isolation, and characterization of secondary metabolites from natural sources (plants and fungi), employing chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques such as UHPLC-MS, 1D/2D NMR, and HPLC. He has also contributed to the design of polymeric nanoparticles for the controlled release of antineoplastic drugs. He currently works as a researcher at the Experimental Oncology Laboratory of the Center for Drug Research and Development (Cuba) and serves as a Teaching Assistant in General Chemistry for the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology program. He has participated in multiple national and international scientific events as an author and/or speaker, and has been actively involved in research projects and academic support activities. He is the author of three scientific publications and one invention patent (currently under review).
