About
My research interest focused on the effect of exercise (especially high velocity exercise) in Neurodegenerative diseases (Dementia and Mild Cognitive Impairment) on molecular and cognitive respond of human body. Analytically, my research interests are on: 1. Physiology of exercise. 2. Clinical Physiology 3. Molecular biology. 4. Healthy Ageing. 5. Effect of exercise in Mild Cognitive Impairment and early Alzheimer patients. 6. The impact of exercise on cognitive function, brain plasticity and increase size of hippocampus. 7. The impact of oxidative stress on cognitive function. 8. The impact of high velocity exercise on biomarkers (BDNF, IL-6, NGF) and brain function. My professional’s interests and experiences are focused on prevention and rehabilitation of neurodegenerative diseases, especially on MCI and early Alzheimer's. In addition, from my education, research activity (research programs that I am involved, as well as with my collaboration with laboratories) and my professional experience, I specialise in the evaluation, design and implementation of specific exercise protocols for these clinical populations.
