Ming Li
About
Ming Li received the M.S. degree in ship structural mechanics from the China Ship Scientific Research Center and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the City University of Hong Kong. His areas relate to applied statistics, applied mathematics, signal processing, experimental mechanics, fractional vibrations, fractal time series, sea level, ocean waves, telecommunications, teletraffic modeling, anomaly intrusion detection, and measurement. He has published over 200 papers in international journals and international conferences, and 4 monographs in those areas. Among them, two were recognized as Top 100 Most Cited Chinese Papers Published in International Journals in 2010, and 2012, respectively. He was identified as the Most Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier Publishing Co. in 2014 (2 Feb. 2015) (1st Ed., Annual List), 2015 (29 Jan. 2016) (2nd Ed., Annual List), 2016 (28 Feb. 2017) (3rd Ed., Annual List), 2017 (19 Jan. 2018) (4th Ed., Annual List), 2018 (17 Jan. 2019) (5th Ed., Annual List), 2019 (7 May 2020) (6th Ed., Annual List), and 2020 (22 April 2021) (7th Ed., Annual List) respectively. According to the report in 2019 by Prof. John P.A. Ioannidis, Standford University, Li was recognized as a top 100,000 scholar in all fields. Based on the report in 20 Oct. 2021 by Prof. John P.A. Ioannidis, Standford University (DOI:10.17632/btchxktzyw.3), Li was recognized as a top 2% scholar in the field of Numerical and Computational Mathematics, ranked 205 among 15725 scientists (ranked 1.39%), and top 100,000 scholar in all fields. He was identified as one of the World's Top 2% Scientists in Numerical & Computational Mathematics in the lists of Career-Long Impact and Single-Year Impact in 2022-2024, by Ioannidis, John P.A. (2023), according to the reports by Elsevier Data Repository, V6-V8.
