Born in Rome, 14/3/1978, with a degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Perugia in 2003, a PhD at the University of Perugia in Veterinary Pathology (Equine Science) in 2007, and a post-graduate degree at the University of Teramo in Physiology and Pathology of Reproduction of Domestic Animals in 2020. 20 years of experience in diagnostic activity (anatomo-histopathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry) on infectious and oncologic diseases of domestic and wild animals and oncologic surveillance for the regional Canine Tumour Registry (Umbria and Marche, Italy). Activity: Currently Veterinary manager at the National Reference Laboratory for Asfivirus, Pestivirus and Retrovirus at Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell'Umbria e delle Marche "Togo Rosati”. Actual focus is on domestic animals' viral disease (diagnosis and research) with particular focus on epidemiology, surveillance and biosecurity for African Swine Fever.
